Outside activities
Personal On December 29 2011 I began taking a medication called Cipro (an antibiotic) for a minor infection. By January 3 2012 I went from squating 225 pounds to hardly being able to move out of my chair. I got a rare side effect from the medication that riddled my body with acute tendonitis. Over the next 9 months I was rarely able to leave my house, even walking down the stairs took atleast 10 minutes because my achilles tendons couldn't bend with out risk of rupture (breaking away from the bone). It took 11 months before I could start working out again and around 13 months for complete recovery. During my injury I had alot of time to think about who I was and who I had been. When I couldn't leave the house I realized that in alot of ways I had been inhibiting myself before my injury. That wasn't the person I wanted to be, introverted and weak. After I got better I started living by a code. Now I will never miss another beautiful day. I am the person I have always wanted to be, I enjoy and appreciate life even walking down the stairs is a great joy of my day. We all complain about hardwork and responsibilities, but after a year of having absolutely none and feeling like the world was spinning while I sat still, I appreciate hard assignments and complicated problems. I will move forward with this attitude and succeed at anything I set my mind to.

ClubI don't want to mention the name of the club I joined. I have always been pretty introverted and after my injury I made a note to change this. Joining a club was a big step for me and helped me break out of myself and become more social. We do alot of activities and a few service projects.

For othersWith my club I helped make valentines day cards for residents of an assisted living home and went and delivered them, they were so happy someone thought about them it felt good. I only wear two pairs of jeans and white tshirts and my family gave me a ton of cloths over the years some never worn in my closet. So I donated them to the homeless youth resource center. I help everyone I can with difficult programming and math concepts to keep them moving forward and keep me sharp.
